Kaihua Mold Industry Institute Welcomed the Harvest Season

The college has a total training base with a construction area of 1,000 square meters; the base is equipped with top mold manufacturing equipment and intelligent manufacturing units such as five-axis machining center of Makino, wire cutting machine, EDM machine, and three-coordinate measuring instrument, and currently offers 2 majors.

On December 28, 2021, the class of Kaihua Mold Industry College was established. The first batch of 44 students, after half a year of face-to-face, hands-on practical guidance and rotational internships in the Industrial College, have all entered Kaihua Company for fixed-post internships on September 4, 2022. They were distributed in various departments of the enterprise, just like small gears, driving the normal operation of the giant wheel.

*Adopt the “Double Tutor System”

The college draws on the dual-system school-running model and adopts the management mechanism of “double tutor”, which is the establishment of practical tutors and theoretical tutors, to jointly manage the teaching practice work of the college and the daily life and ideological dynamics of students.

*Innovative “Three Posts” Teaching Mode

In terms of teaching mode, the college carries out immersive live-action, practical operation, on-the-spot teaching, and implements the practical teaching mode of rotation, fixed position and post. Rotation allows students to fully understand and feel the responsibilities and requirements of each position; fixed position allows students determine the post after getting to know the company, and study in a targeted manner; post placement, after a period of fixed position training, students can be assigned to the post for practical operation.

*Develop School-Enterprise Cooperation Courses

The textbook “CNC Processing Technology for Injection Mold  Application” independently developed by Kaihua and FANUC is easy to understand in theory and strong in operation. It is jointly taught by theoretical and practical instructors from both schools and enterprises. Students can quickly grasp the principles and practice operations.

*Establish a Mobile Station for School-Enterprise Teachers

The two sides of the school and the enterprise regularly exchange talents. The school teachers enter the enterprise and have on-the-spot exchanges with the employees of the design, processing, assembly and other departments to summarize the experience of the masters and organize the teaching points; the masters of the enterprise enter the campus and ask the teachers for learning the language of instruction. This kind of talent exchange method has improved the level of teachers in both schools and enterprises, so that tutors can not only understand student management and education, but also understand practical operation and teaching, and build a high-level teaching team.

*Establish a Long-Term Talent Training Model

Students from Kaihua class since the high school was selected and  trained to further theoretical study and practical training in the university. They can become a compound high-end “foreman” talent who know both technology and operation when they graduate.
