On December 22, 2025, Wenling, Zhejiang Province, hosted the 2025 Entrepreneurs Taizhou Tour organized by the China National Democratic Construction Association (CNDCA), bringing together entrepreneurs, experts, and scholars from across China to discuss the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta and the intelligent transformation of the private economy.
Mr. Daniel Liang, Member of the CNDCA Taizhou Municipal Committee and Chairman of Kaihua Moulds, attended with the company’s achievements in digital and intelligent manufacturing, sharing insights on the industry’s digital transformation.
During the roundtable dialogue, Mr. Daniel reflected on Kaihua’s more than 20-year journey of digital development. He noted, “The mould industry faces significant challenges in mass production and large-scale development. The path to automation and digitalization varies by enterprise, but failing to innovate proactively is equivalent to foregoing growth.”
Recalling his visit to a German exhibition in 2004, Mr.Daniel shared that the experience inspired his goal of making Kaihua a top 3 global player. He recognized that the transformation of traditional manufacturing could only be realized through data-driven, systematic management.
Over the past two decades, under his leadership, Kaihua has achieved a step-by-step transition from digital management to intelligent production: starting with the implementation of a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) to digitize production processes and boost output; then building an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system to break information silos and standardize operations; moving on to establishing a lights-out factory, a highly automated facility capable of operating with minimal human intervention, and an industrial internet platform; and further connecting data across more than 1,000 upstream and downstream factories in the industrial chain.
Since 2025, Kaihua has further expanded the application of Artificial Intelligence, gradually leveraging it to assist or even replace certain design and decision-making processes, advancing production to a new stage of human-machine collaboration.
With solid practical experience and forward-looking strategy, Kaihua is steadily moving toward a more intelligent and collaborative manufacturing future. Mr.Daniel emphasized that the company will continue to deepen digital and intelligent transformation, focus on its core mould manufacturing business, strengthen upstream and downstream industrial chain collaboration through the CNDCA platform, and advance AI integration and global market deployment. These efforts aim to contribute to Taizhou’s development as a hub of intelligent manufacturing in the Yangtze River Delta and an international benchmark city for private economy, while steadily progressing toward its goal of top 3 globally, writing a new chapter in the transformation and upgrading of traditional manufacturing through concrete action and innovation.
