Kaihua Moulds held an unveiling ceremony for the Model-Data Resonance · Kaihua Intelligent Manufacturing Joint Lab together with PKU Advanced Institute of Information Technology. Enterprise and government representatives attended the event, marking the official launch of the “Model-Data Resonance” initiative in the mould industry.

Professor Jiang Yun proposed the “Three-Direction Driving” model. Kaihua takes charge of R&D planning and resource investment, while PKU Advanced Institute of Information Technology conducts applied research based on actual mould production scenarios. Leveraging advanced technologies and professional talent, both parties cooperate with local authorities to build reusable data assets and intelligent agent models, promoting the widespread application of innovative achievements across the industrial chain. As a core accelerator for Kaihua’s digital transformation, the joint lab conducts forward-looking patent layout and standardized result evaluation, supporting the company’s listing strategy and facilitating high-quality development of the mould industry.

Witnessed by all attendees, the two parties completed the signing and inauguration ceremony. The joint lab will advance its six core research areas in three phases: achieving digital standardization for future factories in the short term; strengthening scientific research and intellectual property layout to meet STAR Market requirements in the medium term; and developing replicable digital solutions to empower the upgrading of mould industrial clusters in the long term.

Centered on Kaihua’s digital upgrading, Huangyan District Bureau of Economy and Information Technology provides full support in policy, funding and computing resources. Taizhou has built a RMB 760 million computing center as part of the national computing hub layout. With computing subsidies, open data sharing platforms and innovation incubation services, the local government stimulates industrial innovation through equity incentives, forming a complete collaborative innovation ecosystem of “enterprise-led problem raising, university-based research, and government-supported implementation”.

Fang Chonghui, Deputy Director of Taizhou Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, emphasized that the cooperation will focus on practical transformation needs, promoting technology implementation, talent cultivation and production collaboration. Adhering to the principle of “application-driven development”, the partnership avoids redundant R&D, deploys intelligent agents to empower on-site production, and improves collaborative assessment mechanisms for continuous system iteration. While accelerating Kaihua’s transformation, the joint lab leads innovative AI applications for the global mould industry.
