On the afternoon of July 12, a group from Tongji University’s College of Design and Innovation visited Zhejiang Kaihua Mould Co., Ltd.
Mr. Daniel Liang and Mr. Li Maoming received them warmly, showing them around the exhibition hall and digital workshops. They discussed AI-powered design, sustainable mold tech and Kaihua’s innovation journey, exploring new talent development models.
Mr. Li detailed the company’s development history, core businesses and innovation achievements to Tongji students. As a leading domestic mold manufacturer, Kaihua focuses on R&D and production for automotive, medical, logistics and home furnishing sectors. It has become an industry benchmark with advanced technical strength and smart manufacturing capabilities.
Later, the students visited the exhibition hall and digital workshop, observing high-precision mold production processes up close and experiencing efficiency improvements and technological innovations brought by intelligent manufacturing. The advanced processing equipment, smart management systems and rigorous process standards gave them a more intuitive understanding of the technological content in modern mold manufacturing.
From initial industry exploration to today’s group development, Kaihua Mould has always adhered to innovation-driven and lean manufacturing, gradually growing into an industry leader.
In the lecture hall, Mr. Daniel Liang further introduced Kaihua’s group distribution and business layout, with a focus on its subsidiary—Taizhou Jingkai Industrial Design Co., Ltd. Specializing in front-end mold design, the subsidiary highly matches the majors of students from Tongji University’s College of Design and Innovation. Kaihua is willing to provide a broad development platform for young people, whether for internships or employment.
In addition, Kaihua’s management and Tongji University teachers had in-depth exchanges on school-enterprise cooperation and talent training, exchanged contact information, and looked forward to establishing a long-term linkage mechanism in technology R&D, student practice and project cooperation in the future.
Finally, Kaihua Mould took a group photo with teachers and students from Tongji University, bringing the exchange to a successful end.
