South Korea’s LS Mtron has launched a new line of injection molding machines equipped with Trexel MuCell foam injection molding technology.
The ONE MuCell line consists of 10 injection molding machines with capacities ranging from 550 to 3600 tons. Key features include a rod return function to stabilize and increase foaming rate, and a servo valve for precise position control.
LS Mtron offers a one-stop foaming solution for a variety of applications, from tools and ancillary equipment to complete turnkey machines.
In 2019, LS Mtron signed an agreement to license Trexel MuCell technology. LS Mtron says they meet customer requirements for lightness and quality while increasing productivity and reducing costs.
Kyung-Nyung Wu, CTO of LS Mtron, said: “Through this agreement with Trexel, we will cooperate not only on the current microbattery technology, but also on the future development of nanobattery technology to continuously strengthen the Lightweight technology.”
South Korea’s largest manufacturer of injection molding machines, LS Mtron, is a division of LS Corp., a $30 billion conglomerate. The company currently produces about 2800 machines per year.
